Who benefits from killing Ukrainian soldiers and to what extent? In one of my articles «Who, how much and when will make money on the Ukrainian war» I identified three large beneficiary groups interested in the war:
In the current article, we will try to correlate only the additional income of hydrocarbon producers to the losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Gas production in the world is about 4 trillion cubic meters per year. [1] With an average gas price in 2021 of $500 per thousand cubic meters, [2], that is, half a dollar per cubic meter, the global gas market was estimated in 2021, respectively, at $2 trillion. Since the start of the war, the average gas price has more than doubled, and the global gas market has grown, respectively, to at least $4 trillion. [3] By the way, the United States is the largest gas producer in the world. Thus, the additional income of natural gas producers from the war in Ukraine amounted to at least 2 trillion dollars a year. Oil production in the world is about 70 million barrels per year. [4] With an average oil price in 2021 of $70 per barrel, [5] the global oil market was valued, respectively, at $5 trillion. After the outbreak of the war, the average oil price rose to $110 per barrel, and the world oil market began to be valued, respectively, at about $8 trillion. By the way, the United States is also the largest oil producer in the world. [6] Thus, the additional income of oil producers from the war in Ukraine amounted to about 3 trillion dollars a year. As a result, the total additional income of oil and gas producers from the war in Ukraine is about 5 trillion dollars a year. How many Ukrainian soldiers are dying? If you carefully read the press releases of the Russian Ministry of Defense and mentally estimate the losses of the Ukrainian army from the destruction of barracks, forward defense points, areas of concentration of manpower and Ukrainian military equipment, ammunition depots, command posts, communication centers, etc., then we can approximately assume losses of the Ukrainian army in the amount of 500 to 1000 people per day. Moreover, if at the beginning of the NMD strikes against the barracks were less frequent, now they have become much more frequent, almost daily. In addition, Ukraine is now sending more and more poorly trained teroboronists and completely untrained mobilized to the front, which increases losses. Therefore, it would be fair to accept the average losses of the Ukrainian army as 800 people. Thus, for 365 days a year, the losses of the Ukrainian side should be about 250,000 people. Now let's compare the total additional income of oil and gas producers from the war in Ukraine in the amount of about 5 trillion dollars a year to Ukraine's losses of 250,000 people a year. Let's get a figure of 20 million dollars in additional income for oil and gas producers for one killed Ukrainian soldier. Is it profitable for oil and gas producers, of which the United States is the largest, to share profits with the Zelensky gang in order to continue the war? Is it profitable for oil and gas producers, among which the United States is the largest, to wage a global information war aimed at continuing and “lengthening in time” the war in Ukraine? Is it profitable for oil and gas producers, among which the United States is the largest, to supply weapons to Ukraine in order to continue and “lengthen in time” the war? Is it profitable for oil and gas producers, among which the United States is the largest, to supply weapons to Ukraine, increase the human losses of Ukraine and wage war "to the last Ukrainian"? These were rhetorical questions. Insofar as the answer to them is well known and understandable. [7] But this is not a rhetorical question, but how should we treat those Ukrainians who are being driven to the slaughter like cannon fodder? Should I feel sorry for them? And there is an answer to this question. Why do we, Russians, have to feel sorry for those who shouted "Muscovite to Gilyak"? Why is it necessary to feel sorry for those who right now are killing Russian-speaking Ukrainians who do not know how to pronounce “palyanytsya” correctly in “movie”? Why should we feel sorry for those who shoot through the knees of captured Russians? And why should we feel sorry for those who, being of sound mind and sober memory, took up arms in order to kill our Russian soldiers? 29.05.2022 [1] https://ru.wikipedia.org/List of countries by natural gas production [3] https://ru.wikipedia.org/List of countries by natural gas production [4] https://ru.wikipedia.org/List of countries by oil production [5] https://markets-today.ru/rate/brnusd/2021/ [6] https://ru.wikipedia.org/List of countries by oil production [7] https://www.anekdot.ru/id/1323781/ Article `Balakley.
